Tetu Constituency
The Kenya Population and Housing Census further reports that Tetu constituency has a population of 80, 283. The main economic activity of the constituency is agriculture. Tea and coffee are the main cash crop grown in the constituency. Other foods produced in the area include potatoes, cabbages, kales, beans and maize among others. The constituency is home to iconic leaders such as Dedan Kimathi and Nobel Peace Prize winner of 2004, Dr. Wangari Maathai. Dr. Maathai was the first African woman to win this award.
